Illustrating how photography can be used as an intermediary process, this fabulous ancient Greek silver coin of Naxos was printed as a nine layered serigraph. The plates were created by differential photographic exposure of the original negative.
The print accompanied a serigraphed book entitled Ancient Greek Numismatic Art featuring thirteen classic coins from the sixth to first century B.C.
